Our story

Diana Daly, owner and director of Diana’s Swim Academy, began providing swimming classes for children and adults whilst employed at a Limerick hotel leisure centre in 2007. Diana recognised her natural ability to connect with her students beyond words developing a fresh and instinctive method of teaching and coaching swimming. Diana became steadfast and confident in her method of teaching, and as a result found her client base expanding very quickly.  In 2008 Diana made the natural decision to leave her leisure centre role and become a full-time businesswoman, swimming teacher and coach.

Today, Diana’s husband Jason is office administrator and manager of Diana’s Swim Academy and the team is comprised of a number of expert, qualified swimming teachers and coaches.

Meet Diana

A national Lithuanian champion in the 100m breaststroke and a multi-champion in various national and international swimming competitions, Diana’s prolific swimming portfolio also includes coaching competitive club as well as high-performance and Olympic athletes. Diana has over 10 years experience in the area of professional swimming teaching and coaching. Although Diana herself didn’t learn to swim until aged nine – quite late in life for a competitive swimmer – she immediately developed a lasting love for the water.

Further to her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Professional Coaching Certification from Lithuanian Sport University, Diana is a fully-qualified Swim Teacher, Swim Coach, Baby and Pre-School Swimming Teacher, Baby and Pre-School Swimming Tutor, Aqua Yoga Teacher and Pool Lifeguard.

Diana is inspired to witness her students overcoming their swimming fears and phobias and she loves to watch each person grow in confidence and skill in the water. Mother to 4-year-old Max, Diana delights in seeing babies, toddlers, children and their parents beam with happiness and pride as they share in the success of their water-based achievements, big and small.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Coach Rokas and swimming academy team have been extremely patient, caring and willing to tailor any plan that they need to, to whatever I need to learn to swim, It has been said it harder to teach adults but they are always encouraging and pushing me forward so I never felt learning swimming is that hard.

Ehab

My kids were complete beginners at the start of the week and can now float, put their head under water and have confidence and enthusiasm to continue lessons.

I would highly recommend classes with Diana’s Swim Academy. The one to one and small groups are great and really helped my son gaining confidence in the water. Diana and Rokas are great instructors. I am really delighted with the progress my son has made in the last six weeks. Already booked in for the next lot of lessons. Thank You Diana and Rokas.
